Journey to the Jungle

14 Jul

Our team departs this morning to head to a village about 3 hours northeast of Libreville.  God has given provided us a wonderful and unique opportunity to help lay the foundation of a new C&MA church plant in this remote village.  A local Gabonese C&MA has raised funds to help build this church and expand God’s kingdom throughout the country of Gabon.

While this is certainly excited, it will be challenging as well.  No electricity. No showers.  No running water.  We will be sleeping outdoors on air mattresses and mosquito nets.  I imagine this will be an experience our team will never forget.

Please be praying for safety, health, contentment, and that God truly works powerfully in and through us.

*We will not be blogging until Sunday evening so for those of you who check regularly each day, I apologize in advance for the lack of posts from now until then.  We look forward to returning to the Envision house in Libreville Sunday evening and sharing with you all about this incredible journey.

Thanks for your support and prayers.

    Hi Dan,

We’re praying for your and your team here in Paris. It’s interesting to hear your observations and impressions, so we appreciate the team’s thoughts and insights shared on the blog. It’s also fun to think of your team there in Gabon, and the ACP team there in neighboring Cameroon!

May the Lord bless you all richly with new friends, learning about a new culture and peoples, an expanded view of the Kingdom of God, and of course safety and health throughout your trip.

    Blessings to you all,

    In Christ,

    Scott

We’re praising God for all of you. Displaying HIS love and telling the children about Jesus is what it’s all about. IKeep up the awesome work.

    Dan,

Thank you for allowing my granddaughter, Samm Hatch to share in such a worthwhile experience! She returned from Gabon more talkative than she has ever been. She expressed a sincere desire to return as an Intern to help these less fortunate people. I hope the lessons she learned while on this adventure will remain with her for life!
